Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 during an Olympic celebration. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci as she was only 6 years old. Her first competition was in The National Junior Championships in which she was 13th place in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci won. Her first competition in the international arena was in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she took home three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she was overall junior champion. In 1975, she took home 4 gold and 1 silver medal in her debut senior international contest. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She was the first female ever to perform the backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in the entertainment industry during her teenage years performing as a figure skating duo with their twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in the world of entertainment in her teens. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured dramatic skating on ice shows.
