Katherine Heigl has revealed that she was brought up in a white bubble, and how that influenced how she raised her adopted multiracial kids. The actress from "Firefly Lane" told a reporter that it didn't matter what color her skin was for her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted older sister, she noticed the differences in how people took care of her. I inquired of Meg if when she was going out with her parents she received a certain treatment and when out alone, she received a different kind of treatment. She responded "Oh Yes! All the time!" It made me realize I was naive," Heigl said to her parents. According to the actor she became angered. However, she wanted to channel that anger towards aiding her adopted daughters. Heigl is the mother of a 4-year-old son who is married to her 13 year old spouse, Josh Kelley. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), one of their daughters of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
